Description: TDK was the first manufacturer to step up with Blu-Ray recordable media. This model is a bulk version of their BD-25R disc, now available in this 50 disc spindle configuration. The capacity of Blu-ray discs enable you to record huge data directories as well as the highest definition HD video on your Blu-Ray recorder. The 25GB disc offers 2x (72Mbps) rated recording speed.

In business and commercial environments where a high volume of discs are recorded, reliable media is of the utmost importance. That is why TDK is offering its line of recordable 25GB Blu-ray Disc media in 50-piece spindle packaging that delivers unparalleled reliability to business and commercial customers who require bulk configurations.

These revolutionary single-sided discs are bare, cartridge-free, single layer media. The high-sensitivity inorganic recording material utilized by TDK for the write-once type BD-R is completely different than the recording materials used for CD or DVD. TDK Blu-ray Discs? inorganic material is impervious to light, making the discs exceptionally well suited for archiving data. Composed of copper and silicon, TDK?s exclusive recording material delivers remarkable, long-lasting performance. The recording material enables fast recording and playback speeds and also makes it possible to realize massive capacities through multi-layering. The material is so stable that a TDK Blu-ray Disc shows virtually no performance degradation even after it has been overwritten 10,000 times.

The disc surface is branded, so the discs can't be used with inkjet or thermal disc printers, but they do feature TDK's DURABIS 2 disc surface. DURABIS 2 is a hard coat surface that protects against scratches, smudges and fingerprints, so our Blu-ray disc performs with less errors. The DURABIS 2 hard coat is actually part of the Blu-ray product specification.
