Tower and Printer Bundles were originally developed by Microboards, as they found it was one of the most common recommendations they were making to their
church and ministry customers. Many churches and ministries look to deliver recordings of their gatherings, homilies and sermons immediately after the event, so congregants can take the disc home with them. In this way, the message is still in their minds and the disc can be replayed and shared with others. These recordings are also used for members stuck at home, in hospitals and for internet distribution.

Most congregations will pre-print the discs during the week leading up to the event. The discs may include the pastor, deacon or presenter's name, the sermon message and date information, along with any logos or pictures.
On the day of event, the church will have the tower(s) ready. Once the recording is completed, the copying begins, within a few minutes, they are ready for distribution and congregants can take them home.

This method has also been used for live event audio recording of concerts. Many small and large bands have started using this process to increase revenue at live shows, where concert goers pay for a recording of the night’s show before they take their seats, and then pick it up after the show.
