Taiyo Yuden is in the process of moving most of their part numbers to JVC part numbers. Last year Taiyo Yuden purchased JVC's media group and became one, taking advantage of JVC's royalty deals on blank discs. Part of this cost-saving agreement was to change the marketing name of Taiyo to JVC, so they could take advantage of the JVC's more broadly known name. As Taiyo Yuden marked inventory gets sold all Taiyo product will come with the JVC marking. The base product is exactly the same and up to the same quality standards as the Taiyo Yuden. Taiyo Yuden 80m Water Shield Glossy Silver Inkjet CD-R in 50pc Cake Box

With Taiyo Yuden's Silver WaterSheild CD-Rs you can create silver glossy & waterproof discs from any inkjet printer. The discs you'll create with this silver inkjet media will just blow you away. The silver glossy finish and color will make your artwork jump off the disc, especially if you design your artwork to use the reflective silver background. The Silver WaterShield blank media is also the best way to ensure your discs stay protected from harsh everyday elements, as the surface is not only glossy but waterproof. From Taiyo Yuden, the inventor of the CD-R, Silver WaterShield discs repel water and protect from wear and scratches. It will work with Primera, Microboards, Rimage, Epson and other direct surface inkjet printers. Silver Taiyo Yuden watershield is available in 50 pack spindles or 300 pack master cartons. Note: There is not currently a silver watershield DVD product from Taiyo Yuden, but the moment it becomes available you will find it here. The mirror effect of the DVD reflective layer when combined with the Glossy Watershield surface makes for a print that has a beautiful effect when combined with complementary artwork.
